Sock Boot Camp
This class is for those who have never knit socks but want to get started. In this class we will demystify sock knitting by breaking it down into the basic sock construction – from a super stretchy cast on to a custom fit heel and toe. Students will also learn about sock yarn gauge and how to accurately measure a foot. You’ll never buy socks again! This class is suitable for knitters who already know how to knit, purl, decrease (k2tog & ssk) and work in the round on double pointed needles. There will be homework between sessions.

Materials
- 2 skeins of Louet Gems Merino Lt Worsted in a light, solid colour (please wind your yarn into a ball before coming to the first class)
- 1 set(5) 3mm dpns , 5″ long
- stitch markers, scissors, flexible measuring tape, tapestry needle
- paper & pen
- BEFORE CLASS: Knit a swatch with your chosen yarn and needles and bring to first class. Cast on 40 sts & join in the round. Knit until swatch measures 2 inches.
