Myak Baby Yak Lace

Two plies gently twisted together create a delicate lace weight yarn perfect for lacy shawls and accessories. Used double, it is equivalent to a fingering weight yarn which is warm, lightweight and breathable, making it perfect to wear through the seasons.

There are three natural shades (chocolate, desert and oatmeal) which are dyed in order to get the palette of soft colours. Most yaks are a dark shade, therefore light colours are very rare and even more precious. There is no bleaching used, so each colour will vary from season to season depending on the shade of the natural fibers. This is the beauty of working with natural fibers and therefore the shade of the sample you see photographed here, may vary slightly to the shade we have in stock.

Warmer than wool, and as soft as cashmere, 100% baby yak is the right choice if you are looking for a unique, ethically sourced fiber good for you, for the environment and for the community that produce it.
