Beginner Knitting

This class is for those who have never knit, or those who are still mastering the basics. The skills that will be taught are the following: cast on and off, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and basic finishing techniques. Then students will go on to knit fingerless mitts using these techniques. After completing this class, you will be well on your way to becoming a knitter!

Min 3 students, max 6 students.

This is four classes, 2 hours each class.

Time: 7pm to 9pm

Materials:  Supplies for classes must be purchased at Black Sheep Yarns and are not included in the class fee.

• One ball of light-and-solid coloured Cascade 220 Superwash
• 4.5mm 10" straight knitting needles (preferably wood)
• Pattern:  "Easy Fingerless Mitts" by Roxanne Richardson (free on Ravelry)
• scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
