Colourwork Mittens

It's mitten season and I especially love knitting cozy Selbu colourwork mittens. Traditional Norwegian Selbu mittens have a two-coloured star pattern or Selbu Rose, of which there are now hundreds of variations. Speedy Selbu Mittens by Skeindeer Knits, are an ideal pattern for those new to colourwork mittens, as they are knit with heavier yarn. Then progress to fingering weight yarn (eg Rauma Finull/PT2, Jamieson & Smith 2 ply Jumper Wt) to knit a mitten such as Anne's Flower by Wenche Roald.
