Lett-Lopi by Istex

Today we were organizing our new shipment of Lett-Lopi or Lopi Lite, a worsted weight version of the well known Icelandic wool. This wool is unique in its composition as it consists of two types of fibers:  inner fibers which are fine, soft and highly insulating and outer fibers which are long, glossy and water repellent. Together these fibers create a wool that is lightweight, water-repellent and breathable. It can be used to knit traditional Icelandic colourwork garments such as the Istex 20th Anniversary Sweater, a free pattern for the whole family (see below). We are awaiting Kate Davies new book “Yokes” which features a number of designs using Lett-Lopi ,and we have made sure to have all the colours she uses in stock.
